Introduction

Dental SCRIPT is an eLearning programme, which improves knowledge of prescribing competency and safety among Foundation Dentists. Released in 2013, it was the second SCRIPT variant to be created, and is now freely available to foundation dentists in England. It is also suitable as CPD training for qualified dentists through licensed access.

The programme consists of eight modules covering a range of topics around dental prescribing. Each module takes around 30 – 60 minutes to complete. All course materials have been authored by a team of expert healthcare professionals, and are regularly reviewed and updated.

Like other variants, Dental SCRIPT was commissioned by Health Education England (West Midlands team), and developed by the University of Birmingham and OCB Media Ltd.
