Introduction
SCRIPT Safety is an eLearning programme that aims to improve prescribing practice, therapeutics knowledge and medicines management.
The SCRIPT programme is funded by Health Education England and has been developed by the University of Birmingham and OCB Media Ltd. There are several portfolios of SCRIPT totalling more than 120 modules.
The modules in this portfolio have been specially selected because they align with the WHO Global Patient Safety Challenge ‘Medication Without Harm’ and NHS Improvement’s medicines safety priority themes: high risk drugs; high-risk parts of the medicines use process and patients with the highest vulnerabilities. The modules provide underpinning knowledge about prescribing, therapeutics and medicines management to support the reduction of medication error and improve patient safety. Modules are available to all NHS staff.
Each standalone module takes around 60 minutes to complete. All modules have been authored by a team of expert healthcare professionals, and are regularly reviewed and updated.
