Prof Jamie Coleman to give Inaugural Lecture on 7 February 2018

11th January 2018

Professor Jamie Coleman, one of the Principal Investigators of SCRIPT at the University of Birmingham, will be giving his inaugural lecture, with the title “Rewriting the SCRIPT: Educating and Supporting Tomorrow’s Prescribers”. The 1-hour lecture will tell the story (to date) of his influence on the education of prescribers and the implementation of electronic prescribing.

Jamie is a Professor in Clinical Pharmacology and Medical Education at the university, as well as Deputy Programme Director of the MBChB degree course. On his headstone, Jamie would like his epitaph to read “He taught generations of students and doctors to prescribe safely and effectively to benefit patient care”.

The lecture will take place at 4.30pm on Wednesday, 7 February 2018. The venue will be the Leonard Deacon Lecture Theatre in the University of Birmingham’s Medical School. Attendance is free and university staff, students, and the public are all welcome.
