SCRIPT content mapped to national antimicrobial stewardship competencies

15th February 2019

A paper published by Professor Molly Courtenay et al developed consensus based national antimicrobial stewardship competencies for UK undergraduate healthcare professional education.

The SCRIPT editorial team have mapped the competencies to our module content to identify any potential gaps in learning. Of the 54 competency descriptors we found only nine, relating to prescribing and therapeutics, where our module content could be enhanced to meet the descriptor.  Additional content has now been authored by the editorial team as either case vignettes, activities or text content to ensure each of the relevant competencies are covered appropriately. This work will be published as a NICE Shared Learning Case Study over the coming weeks.
