Our latest module, ‘Medicines Use in Competitive Sport’ aims to support healthcare professionals working in primary care, to safely advise and prescribe for athletes competing in the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. The module describes the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Code and how this may affect prescribing decisions or recommendations. It will be an exciting time for The University of Birmingham, showcasing itself as an Official Partner of the Games and the Official Host of squash and hockey.
