New Module to support Designated Prescribing Practitioner in Development

22nd March 2024

A new module is in development aimed at supporting healthcare professionals who are new to the role of designated prescribing practitioner (DPP).

Healthcare professionals who wish to become independent prescribers must complete an accredited independent prescribing qualification. During this training they are supported and supervised by a DPP, who is an active prescriber.

Taking on the DPP role is a new experience for many prescribers; the aim of this module is to provide prospective DPPs with the knowledge and confidence to support their trainees effectively.

The module is currently being written and we are delighted to be able to provide this support to healthcare professionals undertaking this new role.
